Lucius has been working hard to record facts to 10 quickly and now he is being timed to match all the pairs up. It looked like a lot of fun so he soon had helpers.

End of Term Sharing
We had an oral language sharing session where we brought in an item and explained how it worked, or where it came from, or why we liked the item to the whole class.
We had plush toys, a plasma ball, cars, dinosaurs, planes and even a model sailing ship. Mrs Watson brought in mosaic magnets and her stamp collection which were a big hit as everyone loved rummaging through the box and discovering the different stamps from clowns to Christmas stamps. Some children were covered in stamps by the time they went home so it was a good thing we used these after we went swimming.
Sensational Swimming
We have been at the pool every day of Week 10 in Term 3. The instructors were equally impressed with the confidence and progress made by everyone, as well as our manners. So well done everyone for having your Netherby Pride in action while we were out in public this week.

Narratives
Great Zoom session today.
(Ma'ake had just nipped away during the photo!)
Today we looked at how to start our narratives, using description to create images for our audience.
We read some books to see how they start and then began writing our own introductions to let the audience know where our Wild Thing lives, what they look like and some things they like to do. This will enable our audience to have a good understanding of our main character.
Next we will build up to some drama or problem for our character. Some of the characters are lovely and kind, while the others are a little bit scary.
As you can see I have made many changes to my draft narrative. Each time I read it, I think how can I make it better? Sometimes it is by adding a descriptive word or even adding a whole new sentence.Reading Challenge
