Reading Rocks!

We are learning how to complete follow up activities for the text we read.  Today we wrote about our favourite part of the story.  Then we illustrated our page.  At the end of each session we share our work in our groups to the whole class.  

Treaty of Waitangi

 Understanding the Treaty of Waitangi

Room 3 have had discussions about how the Treaty of Waitangi was formed.  We talked about the barriers that would have happened over the English not being able to speak Māori and the Māori not being able to speak English.

In class we created our own Treaty and korowai - a Māori cloak.
